The Sweet Sounds of Saengerfest
December 1–2

This holiday season, Cincinnati has one more thing to sing about:
Christmas Saengerfest, the largest choir festival in the city. Its roots stretch back to 1849, when the first-ever Saengerfest was held in the city featuring Saengerbunds, or choirs, that were composed of German immigrants, whose holiday concerts attracted thousands of tourists. The Cincinnati Saengerfest died out in the early 1950s but was revived in 2012. This year, the choral concert is back with more than 20 choirs and six historic venues in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. Advance tickets are available online, and same-day tickets are available at Memorial Hall.
