How many cars are covered by the AAA Membership?

Your AAA Membership covers you rather than your vehicle. Any member currently active on the account will be covered for Emergency Road Services in any vehicle they are driving or riding in as long as that type of vehicle is covered. You could be in a friend's car, and you are covered if it breaks down. Many AAA Members forget we cover people, not cars, other family members are not covered when driving your vehicle. Can I add family members to my AAA membership?

Yes, you can add anyone who lives in your home. That includes kids in college, since they live at home but are away at school.

What do I do when I need Roadside Assistance?

Call 1-800-AAA-HELP, or request Roadside Assistance through the AAA Mobile app, or use AAA.com to request service. When the tow truck arrives they may request to see your AAA card and driver&rsquo;s license. (If you don't have your AAA card with you, call us anyway--we will verify that you are a member.) AAA is a club, so AAA membership covers you, not the vehicle. As a AAA member, you will be covered in whatever passenger vehicle you drive or ride in. For example, if you are stranded with a friend in their vehicle, and you call for service, we would help as long as you are present at the time of service. (link: tel:+18004224357)

Can I use AAA Roadside Assistance the same day I join?

You can, but you will be charged a $65 non-refundable Same Day Service fee. If it&rsquo;s less than the price you&rsquo;d pay for a tow from a local garage the same day, it may be worth it for you. If you purchase a Plus or Premier Membership, you can begin using the expanded Plus/Premier roadside assistance benefits seven (7) days after your Plus or Premier Membership has been processed. During these seven days you can receive roadside assistance at the Classic membership level. If you add RV to your AAA Plus or Premier Membership, you can begin using the additional RV services seven (7) days after your Plus or Premier Membership has been processed. How many times can I call for Roadside Assistance?

You may call for Roadside Assistance whenever you need it and receive up to four or five service call entitlements per membership year at no charge depending on your AAA coverage level. For any additional calls in the same year, you will still receive service; however, you will be charged for it at a special member rate.
