DAYTON, OH – For one week in late August, more than 600 AAA Associates from AAA Club Alliance Inc. registered to track their steps in a company-wide effort to raise money for local food banks. The result was a donation to 14 food banks in locations across the club’s service area. It is estimated that each donation will provide more than 14,000 meals.
In the Miami Valley region, The Foodbank Inc., will receive a $1,400 donation.
“Our original goal was to track one million steps in one week,” said Tom Wiedemann, AAA Club Alliance CEO. “We surpassed that goal in less than 24 hours and set a second goal of seven million steps that was reached before the week was over.”
