AAA Hosts School Supply Drive & Story Time

Urges New Commitment to Distraction-Free Driving as School Year Nears

AAA Newsroom Background Shape

July 26, 2019 – AAA locations across Oklahoma are making it easy for you to help students have what they need to optimize learning and get safely to and from school.

Drop off new, unused school supplies at AAA’s School Supply Drive now through August 4. AAA associates will support local schools with the greatest need by delivering the donations, such as tissues, hand sanitizer, pencils, folders and notebook paper.

AAA Edmond, 1701 S. Broadway, and AAA’s Tulsa location at 2121 E. 15th St., will also host transportation-themed story time events for children. Youngsters are invited to stop by Wednesday, July 31, at 10 a.m., for the reading of a road travel-related book and snacks.

Whether delivering supplies or stopping in for story time, drivers are encouraged to take AAA’s “Don’t Drive Intexticated” pledge or to find it at AAA.com/dontdrivedistracted. “With more distractions than ever, motorists need to make a new commitment as the school year nears to put the phone away and watch out for students,” said Leslie Gamble, AAA Oklahoma spokesperson.
