AAA Newsroom Background Shape

TOWSON, MD (September 5, 2018) – Mark Dixon of AAA World Magazine is winding down his trip of 31 baseball games at 31 different parks in 30 days. His journey started on August 15 at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati and will conclude on Thursday, September 13 when he watches the Baltimore Orioles take on the Oakland A’s at 7:05 p.m. at Camden Yards.

Not only did Mark’s plan cover all 30 Major League Baseball (MLB) stadiums, but it also included a New York Mets/Philadelphia Phillies game at Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, when the two MLB teams played at the site of the Little League World Series. Other stops on his itinerary included the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York; the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa; and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City, Missouri.

AAA 31 in 30 Fun Facts:

  • In 30 days, Dixon will visit 31 ballparks for 31 baseball games.

  • The entire trip, which began on August 15 in Cincinnati and ends on September 13 in Baltimore, will encompass 9,200 driving miles and 15,400 air miles (including four cross-country flights).

  • The total trip will cover nearly 25,000 miles – the equivalent of the Earth’s circumference at the Equator, so the tour will literally be the equivalent of Around the World in 30 Days.

  • The trip will include 31 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, as well as one Canadian province (Ontario).

  • Dixon has passed down his love of the game to his own children and his son who is stationed at Ft. Belvoir (Virginia) will join him on his final stop for a Baltimore Orioles game on September 13, if he is granted leave.

AAA partners Hertz, Best Western and Sprint are lending their support to Mark’s quest.
