AAA recycles car batteries year round but this week those batteries are adding a little something extra to our Earth.
Environmental responsibility is standard operating procedure for the AAA Battery Service programs. The auto club first began its mobile battery recycling efforts in 1997, and last year, recycled approximately 1.75 million batteries nationally.
Research shows automobile batteries have “a 98 percent to 99 percent recycling rate.”
AAA in the greater Hartford area is committed to doing business with respect for the environment year round. Our tow fleet was the first in the country to convert its trucks to propane.
