March 30, 2021 — AAA retail offices will be busy with hundreds of travelers making appointments for TSA Pre® in light of renewed optimism about traveling in 2021. Destination Analysts recently conducted a survey which found that 84% of those surveyed have at least tentative plans to travel in 2021.

To make it easier for travelers to sign up now for the screening program that offers an expedited process at the airport, AAA is hosting TSA Pre® events.

With a parallel between the vaccine roll out and increased optimism among the traveling public, this is a great time to add this coveted travel credential which lasts for five years and will help many reduce future contact risks at the airport.

WHAT: AAA TSA Pre✓® events for local travelers planning future vacations.

WHO: Travelers with plans to fly over the next five years can sign up now for the screening program that will offer an expedited process at the airport, minimizing contact and helping to reduce health risks.

TSA Pre® events:

  • April 12-April 16 – Perrysburg, 25740 N. Dixie Highway
  • April 19-April 23 – Sylvania, 3201 Meijer Drive

“AAA has helped thousands of travelers throughout the country obtain this coveted travel credential since launching the TSA Pre® events in 2019,” said Kara Hitchens, AAA senior specialist. “As travelers look toward future air travel, AAA stands ready to help them take steps now that will reduce their number of contacts at the airport.”

With TSA Pre®, travelers have no need to remove shoes, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, light outerwear or belts. Today, TSA Pre® has more than 450 lanes at 200+ U.S. airports.

AAA events with IdentoGo TSA Pre®  agents will allow future travelers to enroll for screening approval with ease. AAA members and the general public can schedule appointments and pre-register online to participate.

The IdentoGo mobile van will be stationed in the parking area of the AAA Retail locations for ease of access for participants. Enrollment agents are frequently sanitizing their hands and all surfaces of contact within the van and following strict guidelines, including social distancing.

Appointments are limited and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so register as soon as possible. Online registration and appointment scheduling should be completed in advance. Proof of identity and U.S. Citizenship is required at all appointments. Your name on the documents must match exactly with your proof of identity. If they do not, bring an original or certified copy of a court ordered name change document (to include marriage certificates and divorce decrees).

If you have a valid U.S. passport, that is all you need for ID. Applications will be processed onsite.

Follow these steps to pre-enroll:

  1. Click here to access the application page.
  2. Click “Start Application Now,” then click “New Enrollment.”
  3. Fill out steps and choose “Next” at the bottom of each screen.
  4. Type in your location at Zip Code/City/Airport Code box and then search.
  5. Choose the AAA location and click “Next.”

Select your desired appointment time. Please be sure to make note of your appointment time; no reminders will be sent out. Mobile IdentoGO agents will process TSA Pre® applications onsite.

You will finish the process onsite by providing your fingerprints for a background check. The application fee is $85 and can be paid by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier's check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.

Children ages 12 and younger may use the TSA Pre® lane when traveling with a parent or guardian who has the indicator on their boarding pass. Travelers 13 years of age and older without a TSA Pre® boarding pass must go through standard security lanes.
