DAYTON, OH (September 7, 2017) -- With Hurricane Irma bearing down on the Caribbean, Houston is still reeling from Harvey. AAA is deploying roadside assistance crews and tow trucks from Ohio to the hurricane-affected Texas Gulf coast to help with recovery and removal of flood-damaged vehicles in the area. A convoy of 6 drivers and three trucks from Cincinnati, Dayton and Toledo will join 14 other drivers and trucks that our club has deployed from Kansas, Oklahoma, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Additional drivers and trucks are also on standby for deployment. The trucks leaving today will also transport much needed pallets of bottled water.

“AAA is pulling together to support Hurricane Harvey victims and, in particular, the relief efforts of our sister AAA club in Texas,” says Tom Wiedemann, President and COO of AAA. “Our associates are making generous financial donations to send tow trucks to Texas loaded with pallets of water and supplies.”
