AAA Adds Car Care to Customer Experience

New Location Offers One-Stop Shopping with Travel, Insurance, Membership Services

November 16, 2018 - - Just in time for winter car care preparation and holiday travel, AAA will open Oklahoma’s first Car Care Insurance and Travel Center on Monday, November 19, at 6163 N. May Ave.Customers visiting the 10,800-square-foot store will be able to access car repair and service alongside traditional AAA membership, travel and insurance services.

While the new store provides all of the services that auto club members have come to expect from AAA’s retail stores, car care services are being introduced for non-members as well, although AAA members will enjoy a lower price with a discount on repair labor. Maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs such as tires, brakes, tune-ups, air conditioning and cooling systems, battery replacements, and electrical work will be offered. Complimentary Lyft rides for automotive services customers traveling to or from the store will be available through AAA’s partnership with the ride-share company.

With eight car service bays and the latest in automotive repair technology, skilled automotive technicians will provide top-notch service befitting the reputation that has led 400,000 Oklahomans to trust the not-for-profit association for its motoring and travel-related services.

Built on the site of the former Dot Wo restaurant, the new store brings convenient one-stop shopping to the popular retail and residential area. While this is a new concept to Oklahoma, it’s very popular in other states where AAA operates them. “Travelers can plan a trip or take care of home or auto insurance needs while getting car diagnostic checks and repairs,” said Leslie Gamble, AAA Oklahoma spokesperson.

AAA Oklahoma’s retail store at N.W. 39^th & Portland will close on Friday, November 16, with associates relocating to the location.

“We expect this new store to be full of those focused on making the most of their time,” said Gamble. “With the holiday travel period upon us, the Car Care Center is a timely addition for pre-road trip vehicle checkups and travel preparations.”
