TOWSON, MD (June 22, 2018) – AAA Mid-Atlantic’s newest Car Care Insurance Travel Center in Laurel, Maryland, will be holding a grand opening celebration on Saturday, June 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The event, open to the public, features free car battery checks, complimentary lunch, prizes and giveaways, and an opportunity to meet with AAA’s travel partners who will share a variety of vacation options.

Joining the auto club’s eleven other Maryland locations (Annapolis, Brandywine, Columbia, Crofton, Frederick, Gaithersburg, Glen Burnie, Rockville, Timonium, Towson, and White Marsh), the new AAA Car Care Insurance and Travel Center is located at:

The 8,900 square foot facility of new construction features eight automotive bays and employs 20 AAA Mid-Atlantic associates. The store is located in the Laurel Town Centre Shopping Center next to Harris Teeter, at the intersection of Cherry Lane and Route 1, near Laurel Place.

While the new store provides all of the regular services that auto club members have come to expect from AAA’s retail offices, the difference is that Car Care Insurance Travel Centers also offer car care services, which will be available to non-members as well, although AAA members will enjoy a lower price with a discount on repair labor.

Car Care services include maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs such as tires, brakes, tune-ups, air conditioning and cooling systems, battery replacements, and electrical work.

The new store showcases the elements of the latest AAA Car Care Insurance Travel Center store prototypes, which includes in-store digital signage, a map and TourBook® lounge, and expanded AAA Café offering beverages and table seating.

“AAA Mid-Atlantic’s Car Care Insurance Travel Centers are open to members and non-members as a one-stop shop for automotive repair, travel and insurance,” said Chris Storms, AAA’s Car Care District Director. “With the busy summer travel season still upon us, the Car Care Center is a timely addition for pre-road trip vehicle checkups and travel preparations.”

The Laurel store is the 37^th AAA Car Care Center to open in the AAA Mid-Atlantic service area, which includes Maryland, Washington D.C., Maryland, Delaware, and parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. AAA Mid-Atlantic opened its first Car Care Insurance Travel Center in Frederick in April 2011.

For more than 110 years, AAA has been a trusted and reliable source for emergency roadside assistance, serving more than 58 million members nationwide and nearly one million in Maryland. This expansion of AAA services is one that club management feels is a natural fit for an organization that assists thousands of motorists every day across its Mid-Atlantic footprint.
