I had the pleasure of traveling with AAA Member Choice Vacations on their “Colorado Rockies featuring National Parks and Scenic Trains”. It was a truly enjoyable and memorable experience. I loved the amount of time that we spent exploring the national parks – we didn’t just do a quick “drive through” and keep going. We had time for short hikes and actual exploration of the parks – you could make it as active or as leisurely as you wanted, so it truly was a tour for all activity levels. Most importantly, I think I appreciated the fact that someone else was doing the driving, and it was very difficult driving for sure. It’s so nice to visit these awe-inspiring destination and really be able to sit back and take in the full beauty that each place has to offer from the comfort of my seat on the coach.

Spotlights tours are immersive, guided tour experiences that let you feel like a local in a specific city. These tours are specially designed to put you in the heart of cities like San Antonio, Paris, or New York City to show you every facet of these magical metropolises. You’ll be able to unpack once and settle in, but you’ll still have access to a Tour Manager and planned excursions to each city’s must-see destinations and hidden secrets only locals are aware of. Alongside planned excursions, built-in downtime in the itinerary allows you to explore your own way.
I took a Spotlight tour of New Orleans with AAA Member Choice Vacations. It was such a nice way to travel because we were able to immerse ourselves in the culture of one city and unpack only once. The included activities and meals made sure we didn’t miss out on the must see’s but with the built in free time we also had the freedom to explore on our own it was the best of both worlds.

You won’t be one of the crowd with Small Group Explorations; you’ll be an integral part of a cultural expedition. You’ll share the road, a few meals, and a variety of special moments with a small, tight-knit group of just 14-24 people. Smaller groups open up more opportunities to truly experience a destination.
