2023 Review: Hyundai Tucson

   
Lots of folks want to stand out in a crowd. If you’re one of them, the recently redesigned Hyundai Tucson PHEV should suit you nicely. Granted, the latest version of this compact crossover doesn’t exactly reinvent the form, but its appeal is in its distinctive details. From the daytime running lights in the grill to the futuristic cabin accented by a fully digital gauge cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment display, the Tucson has a look that’s unmistakable.
   

The top-of-the-line Limited PHEV model that I tested featured a plug-in hybrid powertrain that adds uncommon functionality to that unique styling. Besides improved EPA fuel economy numbers, the PHEV setup gives it both strong acceleration and 33 miles of all-electric range. Add a long list of standard equipment and the brand’s 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain
