From TV- and movie-themed rooms to ones inspired by outer space or video games, unique accommodations abound across the country. Here are some exceptional themed stays to add to your travel bucket list.

TV- and movie-themed hotel rooms
Television and movies are a huge inspiration for hotel room design.
Classic TV fans will enjoy The Roxbury in the Catskills of New York, where you can book Fred’s Lair, a Flintstones-themed room designed to look like a cave, complete with a pebblestone shower; Maryanne’s Coconut Cream Pie room, inspired by Gilligan’s Island and featuring a round lemon-colored bed and whipped-cream-esque ceiling; and the Partridge Nest, paying homage to The Partridge Family with décor reminiscent of the family’s tour bus.
The Graduate by Hilton Bloomington in Indiana features the Stranger Things Suite. This 1980s-style two-room suite recreates Joyce Byer’s living room and the Wheelers’ basement from the TV show—including those iconic Christmas lights on the wall.
If you want to spend the night like Kevin McCallister, book the Home Alone Room at the Graduate by Hilton Evanston, just north of Chicago. It comes with movie-inspired amenities (including a “lovely cheese pizza”), a VHS copy of Home Alone to watch in the room, and a Polaroid camera to capture it all.

Music-themed hotel rooms
Sing along to some of your favorite artists in these music-centric rooms.
Step into music history with a stay in The Beatles Suite at The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, a AAA Four Diamond property in Denver. It’s filled with vintage Beatles photographs and classic records, and a jukebox takes center stage. Fun fact: When The Beatles performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 1964, The Brown Palace was their home.
Road trippers cruising Route 66 won’t want to miss the Best Western Route 66 Rail Haven in Springfield, Missouri, where an Elvis-themed room invites a dive into rock-and-roll history. A playful tribute to the King of Rock, it features artwork, Elvis memorabilia, and a pink Cadillac-shaped bed.
Dolly Parton fans will enjoy the 9 to 5 Suite at the Graduate by Hilton Nashville, a glamorous ode to the Queen of Country. The room features pink accents and a disco ball ceiling, but the highlight is the neon sign featuring one of Parton’s most famous quotes: "It costs a lot of money to look this cheap."

Halloween- and haunted-themed hotel rooms
You might need to call your mummy after staying in one of these spookily themed rooms.
Inspired by Bram Stoker’s classic, the two-story Dracula’s Fangs cottage at The Roxbury in New York is a gothic-style space with a dramatic winding staircase, a blood-red bedroom and bathroom, and a vampire throne.
If you prefer ghosts and goblins, check into the Halloween Suite at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino—a sophisticatedly spooky room complete with red velvet and black leather furnishings, eerie candelabras, skulls on the walls, and a giant spider hanging from the ceiling.
For possible paranormal activity, head to Room 311 at The Read House Hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It’s rumored to be haunted by a woman who met her demise in the room’s bathtub in 1927. The room has been restored to look just as it would have in the 1920s.

Christmas-themed hotel rooms
Holiday sparkle will delight guests in these Christmas-themed hotel rooms.
The Santa Suite at Hotel North Pole, just outside Fairbanks, Alaska, offers a wintery wonderland experience. It’s decorated year-round and can even include a special visit with Santa—complete with milk, cookies, and personalized stockings.
For holiday vibes in a warmer climate, check in to the Christmas Suite at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. This 1,500-square-foot space is decked out with three fully trimmed trees and even has Elf on the Shelf-themed bathrooms.

Toy- and video games-themed hotel rooms
Whether you’re traveling with kids or are just a kid at heart, these video game- and toy-themed rooms will put a smile on your face.
The Curtis Denver features both a Barbie-themed room, which boasts a life-size Barbie mural featuring Barbies from throughout the ages, and a Video Game Room, an homage to classic games such as Super Mario Bros. and Pac-Man—and it even includes a Donkey Kong arcade game in the room.
For a magical escape, the Clear Sky Resorts Grand Canyon is home to the Pink Unicorn Sky Dome with cotton candy-colored décor, a hanging egg chair, and views of starry Grand Canyon skies. Or, step back into pixelated glory in the 80s Video Game Room, where retro arcade vibes, a classic game-table, and large windows combine for a nostalgic journey under the stars.
Outer space-themed hotel rooms
These themed hotel rooms are out of this world.
Blast off to bed in the Space Galaxy sky dome at Clear Sky Resorts Grand Canyon. The room features space-pod bunk beds, a massive galaxy-wall mural, and twinkling stars through panoramic windows that turn your stay into an interstellar sleepover.
NASA enthusiasts will be over the moon for the Houston We Have a Problem suite at Zaza Houston, featuring space-age style and a life-size moon man ready for liftoff.
Embark on a cosmic journey in the Final Frontier room at The Curtis Denver, where Captain Kirk, Spock, and the crew await your arrival. This Sci-Fi-inspired suite immerses you in the Star Trek universe, complete with the iconic tagline “Live long and prosper” displayed above the bed.
