2023 Review: Hyundai Ioniq 5

  
If you’re going to splurge on an EV, it’d be nice if you could find one that won’t feel outdated in a couple of years. If that’s your aim, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is worth a look.
  

While there are no guarantees, this compact crossover’s advanced features should make it future-proofed. The top Limited trim level I drove was propelled by the most muscular of the Ioniq 5’s available all-electric powertrains, a 320-horsepower setup with standard all-wheel drive that produces strong acceleration.
  

Even more impressive, practically speaking, are its 303-mile driving range, quick recharging times and nicely tuned suspension that delivers a good balance of smooth ride and responsive handling. Inside is a spacious cabin with a distinctly futuristic time-machine look.
  

Figure in advanced features such as Remote Parking Assist (think of it as your computer-controlled valet), and you have an EV that you won’t soon outgrow.
