Imagine vacationing at one Caribbean resort and gaining access to the amenities of another nearby resort—at no extra cost. It’s not just a vacation fantasy; it’s a real opportunity that allows you to get more from your getaway. The Stay at 1, Play at 2 program, available at a growing number of Caribbean resorts, doubles your experiences while ensuring you get the best value for your money.

How it works

The Stay at 1, Play at 2 program is simple yet brilliant: Book a stay at one resort, and gain access to the amenities, dining, and recreational facilities of a nearby sister property (usually under the same brand).

This means more options to explore at no additional cost—whether enjoying a different beach, sampling a new restaurant, or taking advantage of unique perks such as tennis courts or complimentary bike rentals.

It's a win-win, offering a richer, more diverse vacation experience without extra costs or the hassle of changing rooms. Simply put, it’s a way to double your fun while maximizing your value. I’ve stayed at two different Caribbean resorts that offer a Stay at 1, Play at 2 model, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Here are a few Caribbean resorts, including the two where I stayed, that offer this advantage.

Sonesta Ocean Point Resort, Sint Maarten

I booked this luxury resort to soak in the tranquility of its adults-only, all-inclusive offerings. Ocean Point bursts with amenities—including four pools, three upscale restaurants, a swim-up bar, and a huge fitness center with panoramic ocean views. (In fact, I experienced the best yoga session of my life here—held in a gazebo overlooking the stunning turquoise waters of Maho Bay.)

Staying at Ocean Point also granted me access to the adjacent Sonesta Maho Beach Resort. While this property caters to a family-friendly, all-ages audience, it boasted additional ammenties that I took advantage of. For instance, when I wanted some relaxation, I treated myself to a heavenly massage at the Serenity Spa. And when I wanted a lively poolside vibe, I donned my bathing suit and enjoyed live music by the family pool—complete with “cookout fare” like burgers and fries.

Blue Haven Resort, Turks and Caicos

The Turks and Caicos Collection offers a unique Stay at 1, Play at 2 concept between Blue Haven and Alexandra Resort, providing guests with complementary amenities and experiences. Staying at either all-inclusive beachfront property allows you to enjoy all the perks at both. Plus, a complimentary shuttle easily transports you between the resorts.

Blue Haven Resort, nestled in the Leeward Community, boasts a private beachfront setting with marina views. Here, you can hop in a kayak to explore the shoreline of Iguana Island, play a game of pickleball, go for a bike ride, or work out in the fitness center. To unwind, head to the private beach, or take a dip in the Seaside pool and enjoy cocktails at the swim-up bar. For a unique dining experience, try tabletop BBQ grilling at Fire and Ice.

Over at Alexandra Resort, nestled on the iconic Grace Bay Beach, the fun continues. Dive into a game of pool volleyball in the lagoon-style swimming pool, or enjoy on-the-water adventures, such as stand-up paddleboarding, hobie cat sailing, snorkeling, and bouncing on the water trampoline. Savor fresh seafood at Fish Deck and local Caribbean cuisine at Irie Bites. As the day winds down, sip chilled cocktails at Coconut Bar.
