Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Of The Seas Undergoes Amplification

NEW FEATURES GREET GUESTS RETURNING TO CRUISING

With a new cruising season comes the introduction of new ship amenities. The Oasis of the Seas, a flagship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, recently underwent an amplification in late 2019, just before the pandemic, to provide guests with new amenities and activities. Because of the pause in cruising in 2020 and most of 2021, most guests haven't had the opportunity to experience the ship's improvements.

“At Royal Caribbean, we go big and bold,” says Lisa Falango, Royal Caribbean Director of Sales. “We’re ready for you to have an amazing vacation experience.”

One of the most significant additions to the ship is a variety of waterslides for guests to enjoy.

“We put in a bunch of waterslides,” says Falango. “We have a dry slide, ‘The Abyss,’ and ‘The Daredevil’ that actually goes off the back of the ship all the way down to deck five. We’ve added lots of slides for children and the adults that are young at heart.”

Royal Caribbean also added new dining options to the Oasis of the Seas.

“We added a lot of dining,” adds Falango. “We’ve added some more dynamic restaurants like Portside Barbecue and Loco Fresh.”

In addition, the ship now offers additional entertainment options. Music Hall features all types of live music every night, focusing on different rock tribute bands. The Lime and Coconut features two bars serving poolside cocktails with DJs and live music, sure to be a trendy hotspot after dark.

"All of this work was done in 2019," says Falango. “We’ve added in some favorite elements from other ships that have been built since the Oasis, and it feels like a brand new ship.”
