Is an ALL INCLUSIVE Vacation Right for You?

As you plan a vacation to the D.R., one of the first questions you’ll get from your AAA Travel Agent is about accommodations. Are you interested in an All-Inclusive Resort or an E.P.?

E.P. stands for “European Plan,” meaning the hotel does not include meals in its pricing. E.P. is a good option for someone who wants to explore restaurants and activities throughout the destination. “All-inclusive” means that your price includes all meals, snacks, drinks including alcoholic beverages, tips, entertainment, and non-motorized watersports like snorkeling.

Most All-inclusive resorts have several dining venues to choose from, and an array of activities that will appeal to travelers of all ages. During the day, you might choose a cooking lesson or games on the beach. Nightly entertainment ranges from movies on the beach to Vegas-style shows. Family-friendly resorts offer free, fun programs designed to keep the kids busy.

What’s NOT included at an all-inclusive resort? Activities like spa treatments, optional off-property tours, certain motorized water sports, and unique private dining or premium wines may be extra.

If your idea of a great vacation is to spend as much time as possible enjoying a resort’s features, for one up-front price, consider an All-inclusive.
