Itinerary

NEWARK, NEW JERSEY | Oct. 4
Depart Newark Airport for your included overnight flight to Reykjavík, Iceland.

REYKJAVÍK, ICELAND | Oct. 5
Arrive in Reykjavík. Enjoy a hearty Scandinavian breakfast at the Viking World Café, then take a dip in the mineral-rich Blue Lagoon. Explore the man-made, one-of-a-kind ice cave at Perlan. Later, you will visit Hallgrimskirkja Church (whose steeple is a Reykjavík landmark) as well as Harpa Concert Hall and access to the Church tower.

REYKJAVÍK | Oct. 6
Today, see Iceland's sweeping glaciers, narrow fjords, and other unforgettable sights on a state-of-the-art, interactive experience at FlyOver Iceland. Later, discover the essence of Icelandic culinary delights on our Reykjavík Food Walk tour.

ÞINGVELLIR – GEYSIR – GULLFOSS | Oct. 7
Your journey will truly start at Iceland's most famous location, Þingvellir National Park. Next, go for a relaxing bathe at the Secret Lagoon. Then, visit the dramatic Gullfoss waterfall cascading down a two-tiered drop. Later, stop at the Geothermal Bakery Tour at Fontana.

ICELAND'S SOUTH SHORE | Oct. 8
Our first stop of the day is Kerid Crater, known for its blueish-green water surrounded by striking red rock and lush vegetation. Travel along the south shore and pass by Icelandic farms with stops to Seljalandsfoss and Skogarfoss. Then, visit Skogar Folk Museum and Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. Later, enjoy an Icelandic Lava Show.

SKAFTAFELL NATIONAL PARK - JÖKULSÁRLÓN GLACIAL LAGOON | Oct. 9
Today, you will travel to the area of Vatnajokull National Park, named after Europe's largest glacier. Skaftafell region is a site of outstanding natural beauty, dominated by Vatnajokull glacier. View Svinafellsjökull, one of the most beautiful of the glacial outlets emerging from Vatnajokull. Continue to Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon where you can enjoy a breathtaking sight of icebergs floating in the fantastic 180m (591 ft.) deep glacial lake. Take a zodiac boat tour around the lagoon and get close to the icebergs. If you are lucky, you may see some seals resting along the shoreline.

HVERAGERÐI - REYKJAVÍK | Oct. 10
This morning, embark on a captivating and easy glacier walk on Sólheimajökull glacier, led by our most certified and experienced glacier guides. After the glacier hike, the route continues to the village of Hveragerði, often called “The Flower Village” because of its many greenhouses heated by hot water from nearby springs. In Hveragerði, the group will get an introduction to the Icelandic brewing process and tasting.

REYKJAVÍK | Oct. 11
This morning, the group will embark on a whale watching tour, with transfers included to and from hotel (this tour is weather-dependent). After whale watching, explore Reykjavík on your own today. This evening, enjoy a 6-course Farewell Dinner.

REYKJAVÍK | Oct. 12
Today, transfer to the airport for your included flight home.
