1. Convenience

If you’re like most people, your phone is almost always with you, so your AAA membership card is too. It’s as simple as adding your card to your digital wallet or downloading the AAA Mobile app. You can pull up your digital membership card with just a tap instead of digging around in your wallet or your purse for a plastic card.

2. Safety

It’s all too common to lose a physical card or, worse, to have it stolen from you. Having your digital membership card as a backup in your phone’s digital wallet—as well as through your online myAAA membership account or the AAA Mobile app—means that you’ll never lose your card. Your AAA digital membership card will always be there when you need it, including if you ever find yourself stranded on the road.

3. Reduced Waste

No physical card means no plastic waste that can have a negative impact on our environment. There’s also no need to cut up and dispose of expired physical cards, giving you ultimate convenience.

So, how does your AAA digital membership card work? Easy as pie! We answer some questions you may be asking yourself right about now.

How do I create an online AAA account?

If you haven’t created a myAAA account yet, follow the prompts online to create one. Simply go to AAA.com and sign in with the email address you want to use. You’ll also want to have your AAA membership number handy (sent via email after you join AAA).

How do I add my AAA digital membership card to my Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?

There are two ways to add your AAA membership card to your phone’s digital wallet: online or through the AAA Mobile App. In either case, you simply log in using the email and password you used to create your online profile when you joined AAA.

On the app, you’ll open your digital card in the top left corner and tap to add it to your wallet. On your online profile, you’ll click on one of the buttons below your digital card—either Apple Wallet or Google Wallet—and scan a QR code to add it to your phone’s wallet.

How do I access the AAA Mobile App?

The AAA Mobile App is available to download for free on the App Store or Google Play. All you need is the email and password associated with your online AAA account to log in to the app—and then you’re ready to go. Nearby gas station prices, AAA Roadside Assistance, featured AAA discounts, travel deals, and much more are now at your fingertips.

How can I expect my bill?

Going digital means no more checking your mailbox for the bill—and no more risk of your bill getting consumed in the clutter that can sometimes clog that small box. You’ll be receiving your bill through email from now on, and it will also be available on your myAAA account on AAA.com.

How do I pay my bill online?

There are two ways to pay your bill online. You can log in to your myAAA account and plug in your payment information manually, or you can enroll in Automatic Renewal. The latter guarantees you never forget to renew your membership, meaning you’ll never be without the protection of AAA when you need it—like, say, in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night, on the side of the road.

How do I use my AAA member benefits online?

All you need is your AAA membership number to unlock your AAA member benefits online. And if you’re logged in on the app or your myAAA account, you’re already set to plug and play. You can:

If you’re not sure what your AAA member benefits are, click the Benefits tab on your myAAA account to get an overview for your selected membership level (Classic, Plus, or Premier). From towing mileage to discounted passport photo services—they’re all conveniently listed right there.

Now that you’ve gotten the rundown on how AAA digital membership works, you’re ready to manage your membership and access all your benefits the easy way. Of course, just because you have a digital membership, doesn’t mean you can’t give AAA a call or visit your local AAA Store whenever you wish. Enjoy the ride however you prefer, with AAA as your trusted companion.
