    • December 03, 2024 - Arrive in Zurich, and be transferred to your hotel for an included lunch before a walking tour. The walking tour will give you a general overview of Zurich, including Old town. Continue to the vantage point Lindenhof. Beneath this elevated square in the city center are the ruins of a Roman customs post and a late Roman fortress. You’ll also see the Grossmünster—the symbol of the city with its distinctive twin towers, and St. Peters—the biggest church clock face in Europe.
    • December 04, 2024 - Indulge on a 90-minute, guided tour, where you’ll dive into the world of cocoa and the production of chocolate by Lindt Master Chocolatiers. Learn important, humorous, and interesting facts about Lucerne’s history, churches, bridges, narrow streets, towers, squares, and of course, Lucerne’s trademark—the Chapel Bridge with Water Tower. See the Old City squares, the Town Hall and continue to the Lion Monument. Round off the day with a cheese fondue dinner at a local restaurant.
    • December 05, 2024 - Travel from Zurich to Basel, and enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Spalen Gate, the University, the Harbour, and the “three countries corner,” where France, Germany, and Switzerland meet—all while learning about Basel’s fascinating history along the Rhine. Embark your ship and settle into your stateroom. The medieval Old Town has been transformed into a magical yuletide affair. Cobblestone streets are lined with wooden, chalet-style huts, where you can purchase festive treats and gifts.
    • December 06, 2024 - Breisach is a gateway to the fabled Black Forest region, built on a basalt rock outcropping in the Rhine plain. The most prominent landmark of Breisach is the Romanesque-Gothic St. Stephen’s Cathedral, built between the 12th- and 13th-centuries. Its two towers are visible throughout the city and from the Rhine.
    • December 07, 2024 - Strasbourg is said to be the capital of Christmas in France. The city’s cathedral square takes center stage as it is transformed into a winter wonderland. The city’s Christkindelsmärik is the oldest in France, dating back to 1570. Hundreds of stalls are brimming with colorful wares, fine food, and mulled wine bringing festive cheer in abundance.
    • December 08, 2024 - Mannheim’s Christmas market is a holiday season shopping extravaganza. One of Germany’s oldest and largest markets, with more than 160 booths, host vendors from around the world offer handicrafts and handmade items. Located in the picturesque Rhine Valley, Rüdesheim is brimming with festive cheer. The vibrant Drosselgasse—a narrow alleyway lined with decorated restaurants and bars—is the perfect place to explore and immerse yourself in the spirit of the holiday season.
    • December 09, 2024 - As you sail its most picturesque stretch—the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Middle Rhine—you’ll pass vineyard-blanketed hills whose steep slopes require vintners to pick grapes by hand. Admire splendid castles and dramatic rocks along the banks. Koblenz is a traditional German city with a wine heritage that spans centuries—a key ingredient for the warming glühwein that is served from market stalls during the holidays. The Koblenz Christmas market is famous for its Christmas bakery.
    • December 10, 2024 - Themed winter markets feature across Cologne during the holiday season. The towering Gothic Cologne Cathedral provides a stunning backdrop to the city’s festivities and array of offerings from its red wooden stalls. The yuletide season in Düsseldorf is a feast for the senses. Admire the sights, including St. Lambertus Church and the Schlossturm (Castle Tower)—the only remaining part of Düsseldorf Castle, which was destroyed by a fire in 1872.
    • December 11, 2024 - Sail the bucolic waters of the Rhine. Deep into the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt Delta, classic Dutch landscapes unfurl all around. Dordrecht is the oldest city in Holland. Throughout the city, there are hundreds of historic monuments and landmarks, including the Grote Kerk and the 13th-century Augustinian monastery known as Het Hof. The picturesque waterways and decorative bridges of Dordrecht exude a bygone era and are best explored on foot.
    • December 12, 2024 - The Dutch capital of Amsterdam is a delight to explore. Its patchwork of waterways forms about 90 islands connected by 1,500 bridges. Discovering Amsterdam is a pleasure best pursued on foot—visitors line the tranquil canals and linger over Dutch pancakes, or take a stroopwafel to go. Disembark your ship and journey home.
