There's no better way to start your Icelandic adventure than with a visit to the Blue Lagoon. Enjoy this pleasantly warm mineral-rich geothermal water in the middle of a black lava field. It is such a treat after your flight! Check into your Reykjavik hotel for a two-night stay. The rest of the day is yours at leisure.
• March 05, 2024 - After breakfast, experience one of the most popular tours of Iceland, the Golden Circle. This tour includes three of the best known attractions Iceland has to offer: Gullfoss (the Golden Waterfall), the Geysir Area with numerous hot springs, and a visit to the beautiful canyon which is actually the dividing faultline between two of the earth's tectonic plates. Lunch at a local restaurant is included. This evening if the conditions are favorable, we will go on a hunt for the Northern Lights.
• March 06, 2024 - Today, enjoy a drive through the farmlands of South-Iceland. You'll see majestic mountains and an ice capped volcano, along with beautiful waterfalls and black beaches. Lunch at a local restaurant is included. Dinner and overnight stay in the country side. At night, look outside of your hotel for the glow of the Northern Lights, weather permitting.
• March 07, 2024 - Head to Kirkjubaejarklaustur, the former site of a 12th century Catholic convent. Next, you're onward to Skaftafell National Park, one of Iceland's most outstanding areas of natural beauty. Continue to the stunning Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon to see the floating icebergs. Lunch at a local restaurant is included. Dinner and overnight stay in the country side. At night, look outside of your hotel for the glow of the Northern Lights, weather permitting.
• March 08, 2024 - Today you will head back to Reykjavik where you will spend the rest of the day at leisure to explore the city at your own pace. You'll be amazed at the range of restaurants, shopping and vibrant museums that are easily accessible to you.
• March 09, 2024 - Today, you'll be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
