Concerned about traveling? Looking for flexibility in your plans?

Royal Caribbean's enhanced Cruise with Confidence program gives you even more flexibility. Whether you’re already booked on a cruise, or are thinking about it, they want you to Cruise with Confidence. Whether it’s a booking you already have or one you make right now through January 31, 2021, you’re covered. As long as you cancel at least 48 hours before your sail date, you’ll receive a Future Cruise Credit. The credit is valid to book and sail by December 31st, 2021 or 12 months after the date that you cancelled your original sailing — whichever is further.

They have also added the new "Best Price Guarantee" and "Lift and Shift" options
  • Best Price Guarantee -Spot a better price on your booked cruise? Their Best Price Guarantee lets you take advantage of a better price up to 48 hours before your sail date — just give us a call. You’ll receive the difference as a non-refundable onboard credit inside final payment or rate adjustment outside final payment.
  • Lift and Shift - Lift and Shift is for those guests simply wishing to move their existing booking to next year. With this option, Royal Caribbean is happy to price protect the original pricing and/or promotion if the alternative sailing is the same itinerary, length, and stateroom category that is dated within 4 weeks (before or after) of the original sail date, but for the following year.

Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara’s (collectively ”RCCL”) “Cruise with Confidence” program allows individual guests and guests in non-contracted groups who booked a cruise on or before January 31, 2021, for cruises sailing between June 12, 2020 and April 30, 2022 for Royal Caribbean International and Azamara, and May 4, 2022 for Celebrity Cruises, to opt in for our “best price guarantee” on their current sailing or cancel their cruise reservation up to 48 hours prior to the vacation start date and have the option to either: (i) opt-in to the Cruise with Confidence program and receive a Future Cruise Credit (a “CWC FCC”) equal to the amount of the cruise fare the guest paid to RCCL for their cruise, or (ii) move their booking to an eligible alternate sailing under our “Lift and Shift,” program and receive our “best price guarantee” for the re-booked sailing. If the guest cancels an eligible booking before the 48-hour cut-off and elects to receive a FCC under “Cruise with Confidence:”

(a) before the final payment due date of the booking (the“Final Payment due date”), if the guest paid a non-refundable deposit (“NRD”) to RCCL on the booking, the guest will receive an FCC equal to the amount of the NRD paid. RCCL will refund any other payments it received toward the cruise fare.

(b) after the Final Payment due date, the guest will receive a CWC FCC equal to 100% of the cruise fare paid to RCCL.

“Cruise with Confidence” is a voluntary program designed to provide guests with different options and additional flexibility when booking a cruise. If a guest does not opt-in to receive a CWC FCC, the cancellation policy tied to the guest’s reservation at booking will continue to apply. However, if a guest opts-in to receive a CWC FCC at a time when the booking is subject to cancellation charges that would otherwise have been less than 100% of total cruise fare, by opting in to receive a CWC FCC, the guest agrees to become immediately subject to cancellation charges equal to 100% of the cruise fare paid to RCCL. By requesting a CWC FCC, the guest waives any right to receive any refund of the cruise fare paid, even if the sailing is later canceled. If a guest elects to receive a CWC FCC, or otherwise cancels his or her reservation or moves it to another sailing, cancellation charges incurred by the guest on the original reservation will not be waived or refunded for any reason, unless required by applicable law.

For purposes of our “Lift and Shift” offer, “eligible alternate sailing” means a booking in the same stateroom category sailing on the same product with Royal Caribbean International, product (itinerary type) for Celebrity Cruises and product (itinerary type) for Azamara and cruise length for Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises and cruise length (+/- one sail night) for Azamara, scheduled within four weeks before or four weeks after the date of the original sailing but in the subsequent year, departing on or before April 30, 2022 for Royal Caribbean International and Azamara, and May 4, 2022 for Celebrity Cruises. For those sailings, RCCL will protect the guest’s original cruise fare and/or promotion so long as the guest moves the eligible booking to the alternative sailing on or before January 31, 2021. For Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises, only existing bookings on holiday sailings may be moved to alternate holiday sailings dates.

If RCCL’s “best price guarantee” results in a decrease in the guest’s cruise fare after the Final Payment due date, then the difference will be provided to guests in the form of a non-refundable onboard credit for use on the guest’s cruise. If RCCL’s “best price guarantee” results in a decrease in the guest’s cruise fare before the Final Payment due date, the difference will be provided in a rate adjustment. RCCL’s “best price guarantee” does not apply, and any rate adjustment or onboard credit will be adjusted accordingly or forfeited, if the guest: (i) changes the ship or sail date; (ii) does not qualify for the promotional fare; or (iii) books at a reduced single supplement rate and later converts to double occupancy by adding a second guest. If the guest booked under a combined cruise with promotional air offer, RCCL’s best price guarantee applies only to other combined cruise with promotional air offers made by the same cruise brand.

“Vacation start date” means the date of the earlier of: (i) the scheduled embarkation of the cruise; or (ii) any pre-cruise hotel stay or Cruisetour package associated with the cruise and booked through RCCL. If the guest chooses to move their booking to an eligible alternate sailing in the subsequent year, any cancellation charges incurred based on the prior cancellation schedule will follow the booking to the new sailing. If the guest subsequently cancels his or her booking on the later sailing, the cancellation charges to be assessed will be the cancellation charges incurred: (i) under the original booking’s cancellation schedule; or (ii) under the cancellation schedule for the later sailing, whichever is greater. The booking on the later sailing remains eligible to opt-in to receive a CWC FCC under the terms set forth herein. The Future Cruise Credit offered under the “Cruise with Confidence” program is available only to bookings for named guests for which cruise fare deposits have been paid. The CWC FCC is non-transferrable, non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash. The CWC FCC’s value may be applied only toward the cruise fare due on a new booking or to satisfy the remaining cruise fare balance due for an existing booking, on the same RCCL cruise brand, for a sailing scheduled to depart on or before the later of December 31, 2021, or 12 months after the date that the guest cancelled their original sailing. However, the CWC FCCs cannot be used to obtain a refund. All bookings are subject to availability at the time of the request. If not used on or before the expiration date, the CWC FCC will automatically expire and have no cash value. Restrictions may apply on stateroom category and applicable pricing and promotions. Guest will remain responsible for paying the applicable deposit amounts, the difference in the cruise fare on the booking if it exceeds the value of the CWC FCC, taxes/fees, port expenses and gratuities (if applicable) for the booking. RCCL’s “Cruise with Confidence” program does not apply to bookings made by residents of mainland China, and Hong Kong. Program does not apply to guests booked on chartered sailings or in contracted groups and CWC FCCs may not be used on the same. RCCL reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions at any time without prior notice or liability.
