AAA’s month-long 2022 Earth Day campaign concluded on Sunday, May 1. Thanks to the teamwork demonstrated by AAA Associates, the Club surpassed several of our campaign targets, helping to facilitate the planting of more than 10,000 trees in our national forests.

During the month of April, our Associates participated in a variety of initiatives, including our “Live Green” challenge, which encouraged Associates to incorporate environmentally friendly practices in their daily lives. Our Associates completed over 3,500 activities including swapping out plastic water bottles for reusable bottles, recycling, and planting their own vegetables.

Through our Batteries for Trees program AAA pledged to plant one tree for every battery replaced/recycled between April 18 and May 1. The program exceeded its goal – recycling well over 8,000 batteries in April.

In addition to our company-wide initiatives, local teams came together to volunteer and host Earth Day events in their communities. Together, we cleaned up local parks and trails, removed invasive species, spread mulch and planted flowers for the communities in which we work.
